The University of Mysore, also known as Mysore University, is a prestigious public-state university located in Mysore, Karnataka, India. The University is recognized by UGC and accredited with a grade ‘A’ by NAAC. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked Mysore University 44 in the University category and 71 in the Overall category in 2023.
The University of Mysore offers various academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. In addition to these traditional courses, the University of Mysore also offers specialized programs in areas such as law, engineering, journalism, and computer science. There are 85 PG departments offering more than 150 PG programs with more than 1,20,000 UG, PG, MPhil, and Ph.D. students. Additionally, it has 228 affiliated colleges and 39 Recognized Research centers.
Apart from regular courses, Mysore University provides distance learning for more than 40 programs including BA, BBA, BCom, MA, MSc, and many more. Admissions at UOM are based on the results of entrance exams conducted by the university. Candidates must take the Karnataka PGCET to secure admission to M.C.A., M.B.A., and M.Tech. Computer Cognition Technology, and M.Tech. Computer Science and Technology programs.

Applications for Mysore University Admission to various courses can be completed by following these steps:
Step 1- Visit: www.uni-mysore.ac.in. and Fill out the application form and upload the necessary documents.
Step 2- Pay the application fee through Net Banking/ Credit or Debit card. Note: The application fee is INR 400 for PG programs and INR 300 for UG programs.
Step 3- Submit the application form with the correct information.
Step 4- Take the printout of the application form for future reference.
Online Manipal University conducts exams in the online mode that are remotely proctored through their enhanced digital learning platform.
Online courses at Mysore University have been granted approval from the University Grants Commission- Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB) All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Hence, the degree received on completion of the online program will be Valid.
You will have to visit the University along with all the required documents and reach out to the registrar for further queries for offline admission to Mysore University.
A monthly stipend of 25,000/- + HRA Per month for 3 years and Rs. 30.000 + HRA Per month after 3 years is offered to a PhD scholar at Mysore University. The fellowship can be for 2 years initially and shall be extended if required.
The University does not offer direct admission to all the courses. However, Direct admission based on academic merits is offered in certain programs at Mysore University.
The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to PG courses at Mysore University is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
