Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu was established in the year 1985. HITS is recognized as a Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. Hindustan University offers various UG, Integrated, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, M.Phil., and Ph.D. courses in the fields of Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, and Commerce. Admission to these courses is on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance Exam conducted by HITS, merits, and other National level exams.
B.Tech is the most popular course offered by Hindustan University. HITSEEE and HITSCAT are the entrance examinations conducted by the university itself. Admission to B.Arch at HITS is based on merit in NATA. Hindustan University also offers various UG and PG through Digital Education. HITS has signed MoUs with both International and National Institutions. The placements at the university range between 4-5 LPA with students.
