BAMU (formerly known as Marathwada University) is a state-level university located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. It is recognized by the UGC and accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. The university has 428 affiliated colleges that are situated in four districts (Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, and Osmanabad) of Maharashtra State. BAMU offers UG, PG, and Doctoral-level programs. The university has a total strength of more than 4,44,336 students. B.Tech is one of the most popular programs at the university. Admission to B.Tech is done through the MHT CET entrance examination followed by counseling. MBA and MCA admissions are based on the MAH-MBA-CET and MAH-MCA-CET entrance examination scores.
BAMU has signed MoUs with international universities such as University of Sannio, Italy and Southern Federal University, Russia to strengthen the academic and skill ecosystem. BAMU also has a dedicated training and placement cell that conducts different training and skill-development programs for students.

Apart from other courses, two research-based courses M.Phil and Ph.D. are offered by BAMU. Both of the courses are offered in various specializations. Candidates should hold a Post-graduation degree in a relevant discipline to apply for admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil degree. The university makes the final selection as per the marks scored in the entrance exam, conducted by the university.

Step 4- Application fees for candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only is Rs 800.
