Bharathiar University is a state University established by the Tamil Nadu Government under the Act of Bharathiar University 1981. It is accredited with A Grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.11, running with 14 major schools and 37 departments. At present Bharathiar University has 132 affiliated colleges.
The University offers admission to various PG and Doctoral programmes through either state or national-level entrance or through direct admission. More than 2100+ students can be enrolled for PG courses during one academic year. Online graduation from the any recognized university of India is valid in every field of India. However, it may be mentioned here that as per perspective of the corporate sector is concerned they do not prefer students who have studied online or through distance learning mode.

Yes, Bharathiar University Distance Education is approved by UGC (University Grants Commission) and the degree obtained through it is valid all over India.
A candidate who secures a minimum of 40% of marks in the internal assessment as well as in the end semester University examination and a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in both continuous internal assessment and end semester University examination in each paper shall be deemed to have passed the course.
Candidates who have passed class 12 with required subjects from a recognised board are eligible for admission Bharathiar University. In addition to this, student must have studied the relevant subject such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics depending upon the applied BSc specialisation. Furthermore, the selection is based on the applicants scores in NCHMCT JEE/ JEE Main. Based on merit in the entrance exam, the university carries out the seat allotment process.
